The Warren Buffett’s “2 List Strategy”- Ruthless but effective.
Here’s how it works:
STEP 1:
Write down your top 25 goals
This works for both longer and shorter timelines.
For example, write down the top 25 things you want to accomplish this week.
STEP 2:
Review the list and circle your top 5 goals
At this point, you have two lists:
The top 5 items are in List A. Pursue them.
The other 20 items are in List B.
STEP 3:
Avoid List B At-All-Costs
Everything in List B is on your Avoid-At-All-Costs list.
No matter what, give these things no attention until you’ve completed List A.
THE LESSON:
Eliminate ruthlessly.
Force yourself to focus.
Complete a task or kill it.
Remember: You can do anything, but you can’t do everything. Don’t go one mile in 100 directions, go 100 miles in one direction. If you want to get your top priorities done, you need to drop everything else.
